Last night Swallow attended the 2017 Dope Industry Awards (DIAs) and celebrated a nomination for Best Cannabis Tech Product Company. We made it beyond the nomination round into the final voting round as one of the top four candidates. We ultimately lost to Weedmaps, but were honored to be considered against the biggest cannabis tech company in the world. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing our peers get recognition for all of their hard work in this industry. After hosting their 2016 award shows in Washington and Oregon, the DIAs arrived at The Majestic in Downtown LA to show industry giants a glamorous night unlike anything they’ve ever experienced. The cannabis industry has blown up in the last few years and it’s been amazing to watch businesses grow from start ups to internationally-known names. Our buddies at Papa & Barkley were nominated for Best Topical/Sublingual, Best Product Packaging, and Best Branding, and Apothecarry’s amazing stash case was nominated for Best New (Non-Cannabis/Non-Tech) Product. Our friend Olivia Alexander took home two awards, one for Cannabis Social Influencer of the year and the other for Best Cannabis Design Firm for her company Third Eye Agency. Olivia had her social accounts deleted earlier this year, but these acknowledgments prove her ability to bounce back. She’s been such a huge supporter to Swallow and her awards are well-deserved. The timing of our nomination couldn’t be better, as we’ve just launched a new website redesign with the ability to expand to any city or state in America. Keep watching our blog for the latest updates!
